Jiahao Wang is a photographer whose work centers on social issues and individual experience. His practice often revolves around themes such as identity, control and resistance, emotional connection, and forgotten or marginalized spaces.

Through photography, he explores how individuals are shaped, challenged, and expressed within the power structures, cultural narratives, and technological environments of contemporary society.

Using images as a form of language, he aims to build a bridge between reality and metaphor—between what is visible and what is often left unseen. Wang believes that photography is not only a means of capturing reality, but also a way to reveal overlooked emotions, hidden tensions, and deeper layers of social meaning.

These questions lead him to observe, question, and document the world around him. From the digitally constructed 'Fake face' identities shaped by aesthetic norms, to the institutional violence embedded in so-called Internet addiction treatment centers; from the fragile, invisible threads that connect people emotionally, to the fading memories of abandoned urban spaces—his work is a continuous dialogue between individual and era, fiction and reality, memory and image.

For Jiahao, photography is more than a medium of expression. It is a way of thinking, seeing, and connecting. It is his tool for communicating with the world, for understanding himself, and for reflecting on the complexities of human existence. Through each project, he attempts to capture the unnoticed moments, the silent spaces, and the hidden structures that define our social and emotional realities.
