Elder street fitness

In the early mornings and late afternoons of Beijing’s public parks, a unique form of urban vitality unfolds. Among the trees and paths, seniors stretch, dance, practice Tai Chi, or work out on outdoor fitness equipment, vividly displaying images of resilience and self-discipline. I visited several parks in Beijing with my friends, talked with elderly people who have been exercising for years, and documented their lives. These scenes may appear ordinary, but they reflect deep layers of culture, aging, health, and identity in the context of a rapidly changing city.
